Someone gave me a boxes of cupcakes but I have to give it away so I didnt try it. Is it cake make of butter or what cake it is?

a traditional cupcake is much lighter than a butter cake, although, it does have butter in it for that awesome rich taste and crumbly texture.
a cupcake basically comprises of flour, butter, eggs, milk. from there, there are endless possibilities and flavours that you can create with just little tweaks and measures in between.
